We are a leading South African local producer of specific nonwoven fabrics and laminates, specialising in a wide range of industries including agricultural, automotive, hygiene, industrial and roofing.

Established in 1995, Spunchem housed the first Spunbond plant in South Africa, which was capable of manufacturing 20 million square metres per year.

Over the past 25 years, we have invested heavily in specialised equipment to make certain that we can cater for all sectors with Spunbond, SMS, coating, meltblown, cast film, breathable film, printing and slitting capabilities.

Today we operate 6 Spunbond lines, 3 lamination/coating lines, 2 print operations, included in which is our recently installed state of the art SMXS machine. Our recent investments have increased our capacity to around 1 billion square metres per year.

Our customer base is vast and extremely diverse. We do export to various countries globally, and while all of our customers are important to us, our focus is to supply South African requirements as priority.
