We are a leading South African producer of high-quality nonwoven fabrics and laminates, specifically designed for use in a diverse range of industries. Our products have been successfully utilised in various sectors, including agricultural, automotive, hygiene, domestic and industrial roofing and PPE nonwoven fabrics, serving customers across the globe.

Established in 1995, Spunchem housed the first spunbond plant in South Africa, which was capable of manufacturing 20 million square metres per year at the time.

Spunchem is equipped with specialised technical assets and leading industry knowledge, coupled with a team that boasts deep-seated experience and dedication. Spunchem produces high-quality nonwoven fabrics for diverse industries and applications. With an excellent team of people, we consistently deliver innovation, quality, reliability and great customer service in everything we do.

Since inception, we have invested heavily in specialised equipment to ensure that we can cater for the industries we service, with spunbond, SMS, meltblown, coating, cast film, breathable film, printing and slitting capabilities.

Today, we operate 7 spunbond lines, 3 lamination/coating lines and 2 print operations, including our SMXS machine. Our recent investments have increased our capacity to 1 billion square metres per year.
